I Hope the Groundhog is Right and Spring is on its way!

Today Puxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow which according to folklore tradition means Spring is on its way. I know I could definitely use a little Spring around here. Granted, we didn't get blasted with this last winter storm so for that I am very thankful. However, I am ready for some more warmer temperatures. In Dallas in the winter you get some cold mixed in with mild temps. It will vascillate between the low 50s to 70s with an occasional 40 something thrown in. Here it just seems much of the same 30s to 40s for highs everyday. I am yearning for some capris and a frozen beverage accompanied by a cute pink umbrella. So while we wait with anticipation for spring I leave you with some lovely pics we took at the Dallas Arboretum once upon a time. Perhaps it will help put our minds in a relaxed state...and if that doesn't help we can always go the grocery store where they have pots of hyacinths and smell their oh so lovely aroma. Ha! :)

  1. I feel the same way. As Im sitting here snowed in for the second day with no end in sight I am loving these pictures. My mom is in Phoenix and was telling me that there it will be in the 50's today. I laughed, our high today will be 17 and tomorrow morning it will be -2. We are still covered in about 15 inches of snow and with the temperatures still below freezing I dont think its going to melt anytime soon. My husbands work has been closed and schools out the rest of the week. Major cabin fever! Heres to praying we thaw out soon.
